Recent unpredictable weather patterns, resulting in drought or flooding, have only compounded the need for additional nutrients, and boron supplementation in the region. With aggressive profit margins and rising farming costs, growers’ hard-earned dollars must also be carefully allocated. Boron Deficiency in the Region

Western United States and Canada (West of the Rocky Mountains)
Growers in this region consistently deal with challenging weather conditions. As a result, boron deficiencies are common, especially in the rainy Pacific Northwest. Drought in California in recent years has also presented issues.

University researchers have found that adding refined boron can increase corn yields by 13 bushels per acre (13.98 kg/ha) and increase soybean yields by 2 to 47 bushels per acre (2.15-50.57 kg/ha).
