Crop Study: Growing Rice in China

Full video transcript available below. This study looked at the boron’s impact on growing rice in China and how boron affects rice yield.

In 2013, we began a rice trial in China. It was a two-year study looking at our products, Granubor® and Solubor® vs. other products that are available in the Chinese market.

What did you measure in this study of rice crop?

So with the rice trial in China, we were looking at measuring how our products can impact the quality of the rice and impact the yield of the rice compared to the incumbent products on the market.

How was the study conducted?

With the rice trial that we did in China, we partnered with the International Rice Research Institute in China, utilized their researchers and facilities to conduct the trial.

What was the key finding of the study?

With the key findings from the rice trial in China is that Granubor and Solubor were able to perform and deliver, not just higher quality but higher yields in the rice. With the rice trial it was able to reduce chalkiness degrees in the quality of the rice, so you get a better quality product out of it.
